Take the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Challenge at the Wauseon Public Library! When enrolled in our 1,000 Books program, your child will earn prizes for every 50 books they complete! At 500 books, they receive a stuffed animal, and at 1,000 books, they receive the grand prize!

We invite you to participate in this free program which encourages you to read 1,000 books with your child before he or she starts kindergarten.
The concept is simple, the rewards are priceless. Read a book (any book) to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler. The goal is to have read 1,000 books before your little one starts kindergarten.
The Wauseon Public Library is proud to offer reading logs to anyone who would like to participate, as well as prizes for milestones that you reach with your child!
